The Treatment
Your features. Your goals. A plan made for you. HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy beneath the skin’s surface. At Shay, your experience begins with a careful assessment of your skin, health history and treatment goals, followed by a mapped treatment plan and a documented review of your progress. Suitability, settings and treatment areas are determined individually by your provider.
We review your intake, prior treatments and concerns, examine the proposed areas and discuss realistic expectations and alternatives.
Your provider marks the treatment areas and exclusions, chooses the appropriate handpiece and documents the settings used.
Ultrasound gel supports contact while the provider monitors your comfort and skin response throughout your session.
Leave with personal aftercare instructions and a follow-up plan. Changes may develop gradually; your response and treatment needs can vary.

Adults interested in discussing skin laxity or definition with a qualified provider. Face, neck or body concerns require individual assessment; not every area or person is suitable. Tell us about pregnancy or nursing, implants, skin problems, medical conditions, medications and recent aesthetic procedures before treatment.
Follow the written instructions provided for your treatment. Cleanse gently, moisturize and protect your skin from the sun. Avoid heat, rubbing and additional aesthetic procedures until your provider advises they are appropriate. Contact the clinic promptly about severe or worsening pain, blistering, burns, unusual color changes, weakness or altered sensation.
What does HIFU feel like?
You may feel warmth or brief discomfort during energy delivery. Sensation varies by area and person. Tell your provider immediately if you experience sharp, intense or unexpected pain.
When will I see a change?
Changes can develop gradually over the following weeks and months. Your provider will discuss a suitable review date. The degree and duration of improvement vary; results are not guaranteed.
Is there downtime?
Redness, swelling, tenderness or tingling can occur. Recovery varies, and less common complications are possible. Your provider will discuss risks, aftercare and what should prompt a call.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no one-size-fits-all schedule. Your provider will advise after assessment and review of your response.
Can I combine it with fillers or other treatments?
Tell us the exact procedure, date and area. Your provider will plan the timing; do not schedule overlapping treatments without checking first.
Is HIFU a replacement for surgery or weight loss?
No. It is not a surgical lift or a weight-loss treatment. A consultation helps determine whether your goals fit this approach.
