Opening your spa…
The Treatment
A chemical peel uses a carefully selected acid solution applied to the skin surface to dissolve dead skin cells, stimulate collagen production, and accelerate cellular turnover. At Shay Beauty Spa, every peel is customized to your skin type, tone, and concern — from superficial lunchtime peels to medium-depth resurfacing.
Your esthetician evaluates your skin type, Fitzpatrick score, and concerns to select the ideal peel strength and formulation.
The carefully selected acid solution is applied to the skin in controlled layers, with monitoring throughout.
A soothing mask and SPF are applied at the end to protect and calm freshly treated skin.

Dark spots, hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines, uneven texture, and dull skin. Multiple peel types available for different skin tones.
Avoid direct sun for 7–10 days. Apply SPF 30+ daily. Do not pick or peel flaking skin. Stay moisturized.
How many chemical peel sessions will I need?
For significant concerns like hyperpigmentation or acne scarring, a series of 4–6 treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart delivers compounding results.
Will a chemical peel cause my skin to peel dramatically?
Light peels produce little to no visible peeling. Medium-depth peels may cause gentle flaking for 3–5 days — similar to a mild sunburn peeling.
Is a chemical peel safe for darker skin tones?
Yes, when properly selected and performed by trained professionals. We customize every peel to your Fitzpatrick skin type to ensure safe, effective results.
